Terms of use
**Publisher-review draft — 2026-07-30**
These terms cover the Codex AI Game Studio software and documentation distributed by frabcd. They should be reviewed by the publisher before universal-directory submission.
License
The project's original code and documentation are provided under the MIT License. Adapted and third-party material is identified in NOTICE.md and remains subject to its applicable license.
Local developer tool
The core is a local-first developer tool, not a hosted game-generation service. It provides instructions, metadata, planning, validation, and optional adapters. Outputs may be incomplete, incorrect, insecure, incompatible, or unsuitable for production. You are responsible for reviewing code, files, commands, plans, licenses, permissions, tests, and generated content before use or publication.
External tools and services
Optional repositories, MCP servers, models, weights, datasets, engines, DCC applications, package registries, and hosted APIs are independent third parties. Their licenses, terms, privacy practices, costs, availability, model cards, output rules, and warranties apply directly to you. Catalog inclusion is not endorsement and does not grant rights.
Your responsibilities
You must have the rights and authority needed for all input references, source assets, code, identities, voices, trademarks, datasets, and publication targets. You must obtain any consent required for identity or voice processing, review commercial-use conditions, secure credentials, maintain backups, and comply with applicable law, platform rules, employment/client agreements, export controls, and content ratings.
You must not use the project to facilitate non-consensual identity or voice replication, unlawful surveillance, credential theft, malware, license circumvention, infringement, harassment, or other illegal activity.
Plans and confirmation
The transaction safeguards reduce accidental changes but do not guarantee safety. Confirming a digest authorizes only the listed local actions; it does not transfer responsibility for their effects. Inspect backups and rollback instructions before applying a production plan.
No professional advice
Catalog and workflow information is technical guidance, not legal, privacy, financial, security, accessibility-certification, or compliance advice. Obtain qualified review for high-stakes or regulated use.
Disclaimer and limitation
The software is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, as stated in the MIT License. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the project authors and contributors are not liable for claims, losses, service charges, data loss, lost profits, infringement, engine/editor damage, security incidents, or other consequences arising from use of the project or external integrations.
Changes and contact
Versions are identified by repository tags and release notes. Updated terms apply to later distributions; a tagged release retains the text shipped with it. Questions may be directed to the publisher through github.com/frabcd. Do not submit confidential information publicly.
